It's not as hard as making a game for ps3 but they had to cram a lot of content into it, write new rendering pipeline and new streaming algorithm. But then again i Think they are comparing Witcher 2EE(360) vs Witcher2 non EE(pc)

Yea it's close to the game on medium, but not sure how I feel about the new colors of the game. I kind of enjoyed the saturated colors of the game on PC, and it seems they took a whole other route with it on console.

Yea and you have to remember that the graphics also go up to ultra, not just high. So they even look better.

I like the old colours. More vivid. I think it is fairly clear that the texture detail is still probably better and the shadows definitely are even on medium on PC.

A lot of texture detail is lost on 360 in world just because the anisotropic filtering is poor to non existent on the 360 version. You can also clearly see screen tearing on 360 and the framerate is kind of wobbly. 360 is not good at anisotropic filtering, never has been. It is virtually free on a modern day PC GPU.

But generally its playable. Plenty good enough to enjoy this excellent game.

Looks like they did a great job. Let us hope the framerate also holds (haven't seen much live gameplay footage), but I'm glad console gamers will be able to enjoy a piece of this awesome PC franchise.

True, unfortunate that it's not (yet?) on PS3. Kinda makes sense to make it for X0, since they have been PC-dev until now, and X0 is pretty close to PC in it's structure. Tought I believe if X0 version do well, it might still come to PS3, the game is worth the wait.

It's kind of hard to compare with such different color pallets, but the 360 version looks good, that's for sure.

Looks good, hard to compare on youtube though when certain PCs will go up to 1080p. And even then the size of what you are watching it on won't give an accurate representation.

The 360 version looks stunning and the new color pal être makes the game stands out even more. The 360 looks very close to the PC set on medium settings but the PC wins hands down when set on high settings.

The PC easily wins on medium setting due to it's being able to render at 60fps. Also, at medium settings, any half-decent PC will be at 1080p as opposed to the Xbox 360's 720p. The game still looks good on Xbox 360 though, but certainly not equal to the PC, even at medium settings.

I was SUPER excited when they announced, last year, that this game was coming to Xbox 360.

Except, since then I have purchased a PC that runs this game on Ultra.

I haven't even played it through it yet though.

CDP did a very, very good job with the immense limitations of current console hardware, very impressive what they were able to accomplish.

and this game is AMAZING~~

but....

even at medium in lowly 720p it looks way better on pc, the draw distance, texture count and shadowing is noticably better, on high, in native 1080p the witcher 2 looks better than anything on next gen consoles will for the first few years.

but a damn fine job for what the 360 is, essentially a 7 year old mid-range pc, truly amazing what they were able to achieve!

dont know what all the pc fans are talking about, this comparison shows again why i see no reason to get a pc, if this is the best new pc tech can do, maybe sony does need to make a ps4 and upgradeable im sure theyed do it right unlike the pc industry for gaming

this was done at PC medium for a majority of the comparison. (low, medium, high, ultra) thats like saying god of war could be done on a wii because you only have a standard definition TV

Firstly this isn't the best PC can do, go back and look at some of the development diaries for the PC version, where the developers even say they could have pushed it a lot more but knew that in the future they wanted it to be able to run on consoles (think the diary is number 4 or 5). then you also have to remember that ultra isn't here. Thirdly if you but this video at max res but only have a 17" lcd then there won't be as big a difference compared to the two running at there respective sizes.

I have to say it looks pretty damn amazing, considering the hardware's age they are working on. Tought the comparison looks to be to about medium-PC graphics, you really can't get right picture how the game looks on PC, since these video's can't do same resolution :/

Either way, even if the game would look like crap, it would be worth it, one of the best RPG ever, but it's nice bonus that it looks gorgeus on X0 too.

I'm averaging about 41fps @1080p on PC with ultra settings, and must say this game looks stunning. It's hard to tell what the 360 version looks like without seeing it in full res, but anyone who really cares about graphics already has this on PC any way.

This was my game of 2011, It's simply incredible. Glad console gamers get to play it too so they can see what all the fuss is about and so I can get my extended edition update and playthrough it again.
