Have to admit CPR did a damn good job with the 360 version.Let's all remember this is their first time even working on console too.

Yodagamer4772d ago (Edited 4772d ago )

The 360 is easy to develop for, kinda the reason why the xbox usually has had the edge in development from a third party perspective

Mariusmssj4771d ago

It's not as hard as making a game for ps3 but they had to cram a lot of content into it, write new rendering pipeline and new streaming algorithm. But then again i Think they are comparing Witcher 2EE(360) vs Witcher2 non EE(pc)

Rage_S904772d ago

Looks better then medium and worse then high.

deep_fried_bum_cake4772d ago

I agree, it looks good. Your inability to distinguish between the words then and than though, is nearly killing me.

caboose324772d ago (Edited 4772d ago )

Yea it's close to the game on medium, but not sure how I feel about the new colors of the game. I kind of enjoyed the saturated colors of the game on PC, and it seems they took a whole other route with it on console.

Still, good job CDPR.

Captain Qwark 94772d ago (Edited 4772d ago )

i actually like the new colors better personally but its all an opinion. either way looks great

pc high is insane though.

caboose324772d ago (Edited 4772d ago )

Yea and you have to remember that the graphics also go up to ultra, not just high. So they even look better.

Captain Qwark 94772d ago

damn thats insane. i havent played this yet so my only comparison is that video. will prob be a good thing though becuase i dont have a better version to compare too when i start the 360 version.

either way, i cannot wait. this game looks incredible in every possible way

ProjectVulcan4772d ago (Edited 4772d ago )

I like the old colours. More vivid. I think it is fairly clear that the texture detail is still probably better and the shadows definitely are even on medium on PC.

A lot of texture detail is lost on 360 in world just because the anisotropic filtering is poor to non existent on the 360 version. You can also clearly see screen tearing on 360 and the framerate is kind of wobbly. 360 is not good at anisotropic filtering, never has been. It is virtually free on a modern day PC GPU.

But generally its playable. Plenty good enough to enjoy this excellent game.

still can't play the game on low with AMD card.. but i can't play on high in BF3.. the Witcher 2 take so much resource

Looks like they did a great job. Let us hope the framerate also holds (haven't seen much live gameplay footage), but I'm glad console gamers will be able to enjoy a piece of this awesome PC franchise.

Kahvipannu4771d ago

True, unfortunate that it's not (yet?) on PS3. Kinda makes sense to make it for X0, since they have been PC-dev until now, and X0 is pretty close to PC in it's structure. Tought I believe if X0 version do well, it might still come to PS3, the game is worth the wait.

Emilio_Estevez4772d ago

It's kind of hard to compare with such different color pallets, but the 360 version looks good, that's for sure.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - 10 Years of CDPR on Console

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - Enhanced Edition debuted on Xbox 360 10 years ago, laying the foundations of CDPR's console releases.

kevco331107d ago

10 years and I'm not sure they've done anything better since...

I take the Witcher 3 over part 2, but Cyberpunk was a disappointment. God I hated Johnny Silverhand so much.
