I loved this game and have played since launch but don't let this article fool you, this game is a step above life support. My strategy is to pick the crafting skill I want, grab the gathering and mission skills that go with it, but grab slicing instead of the crafting skill. Level up slicing as quickly as you can while also leveling the other skills when possible, then you'll have a massive amount of funds and materials to use and you can ditch the maxed out slicing for the crafting skill. It's worked pretty well on a couple characters for me.
