GAME closes 277 stores, 40 percent of workforce affected

Administrator PwC has confirmed that it’s closed today 277 GAME/Gamestation stores today throughout the UK and Northern Ireland.

GAME Group previously had 609 stores in the UK and Northern Ireland, so this represents a large cut. Currently it’s possible that even more stores will be closed, although this depends on whether a buyer can be found quickly.
