Rayman 3 HD - Review - SplitScreenGaming

Released back on the PS2, Gamecube and original Xbox, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc didn’t really make any splashes in terms of critical or mainstream attention. A real shame, considering the amount of variety and polish given to this 3D platformer. This new HD update means this close to death genre gets at least one more chance to impress.

Does it do 1080p? Does it do increased draw distance? Does it truly technically improve upon the original? I don't want another RE4 "HD" situation.

It doesn't do 1080p unfortunately, the frame rate is a lot smoother at 60FPS and a lot of the textures are improved. Draw distance is pretty much the same as the original, a lot of the environments are pretty closed off, but the open areas show off the short draw distance. It is a better upgrade than the one given to RE4 and it's also cheaper at only 800 points. Thanks for the comment, I know what kind of information to take into consideration next time I review an HD re-release.
