Studio Evil have announced a release date for their rather gorgeous looking shmup, Syder Arcade, though it’s still very much in development.
Hardcore Gamer: Last week's Humble Android Bundle 9 was already a solid value with a diverse lineup of games. Now, it's gotten even better with the addition of three games. The Shivah is a 2D adventure game, and is a remake with revamped graphics. Savant - Ascent is a stunning-looking action platformer that will dazzle you, and Syder Arcade is a wonderful side-scrolling shooter with a 2.5D look.

When I looked up information on Syder Arcade, it promised me a return to the olden days of shoot ‘em up gaming; days of such vicious difficulty that all you could do was pray or hurl profanities at your computer screen. It promised me crushing defeat against nearly-insurmountable odds. It promised me the hopelessness of my childhood run-ins with floods of enemies that I couldn’t hope to defeat. And, dear friends, Syder Arcade has delivered on those promises.
FanBolt writes: "Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a game I greatly enjoyed when it originally released, so no doubt I had to get my hands on the Director’s Cut version. It comes with an enhanced visual presence, which I needed to take screenshots to really notice the difference. The improvement is definitely there, and in the images below you’ll see a coloring adjustment and some minor detail changes. It certainly looks better and I’m able to notice it more as I continue to play."
