"Jools Watsham, co-founder of Renegade Kid, whose games have seen success on the DS and 3DS, called out developers who stick to development on Sony and Microsoft platforms and complain that only Nintendo games will sell on the 3DS. He layed out some glaringly obvious principles that developers should be using in order to be successful sales-wise on the 3DS but unfortunately aren’t."

Welcome to Heroes of Handheld 150! A new Minecraft Minigame comes along! September PS Plus announced! Banner Saga still happening, HONEST!.

Development studio Renegade Kid is shutting down after its two co-founders have decided to go their separate ways. They will both continue to develop games.
Very sad news, because they made some great games. I do have to wonder though if the closing has anything to do with them not making many games for systems other than Nintendo ones. Because sadly not many people have been buying games on Nintendo one recently.
I could say, yes.. that's true, some devs want a simple buck, they either make a watered down game or either with no innovation or bad spin offs (I'm not talking about all)
He is right. Devs rush stuff out and don't check if its good or not.
Developers are simply too scared to do anything other than what they’ve seen works in the past, and they’ll continue doing the same thing over and over and over until their games become stale and die. Where’s the creativity and excitement in that?
hes describing most western devs
Face Racers and ATV Wild Ride sure were risky ventures.
The most effort is put into consoles that can make your game look the shiniest. That's how devs are. If they can be bothered, then the majority of the time, a port for a lesser console or handheld is just an afterthought for quick cash. Look at what they did for the Wii all this time.
