Crytek Co-founder Avni Yerli said that Homefront 2 can make big splash at launch even though the first game in franchise got critical reception.
MP1st talks to Crytek about Hunt: Showdown's success, future title updates, inspiration behind weapons and more.
Crytek gives an update on their new Crysis game, confirming that it's still in development, with more to share down the road.
That's awesome. So how long till the studio closes and everyone gets fired?
Immersed Gamer writes: "Frans Bouma just received a Cease and Desist letter from Crytek, developers of Crysis. Did he pirate their game? Or maybe he infringed on their copyright? What horrible thing did Bouma do to deserve this? Well, he modded in a photo mode so that people could take beautiful pictures and share them on social media."
"from his Patreon page" Uhhhh yeah.......Oh gee and I wonder why that was problem? You know where this goes there Filip or perhaps you are just not quite yet.
Rarely do you see something with so much potential (Crytek) shoot themselves in the foot so many times.
Instead of sending a C&D Crytek should thank him, for this, because this will lead to more people buying and playing the game.
Wasn't the first homefront just one of a many string of failures that contributed to THQ's financial disaster?
And crysis 2 didn't really sell that well for crytek who like to make a few, but very heavily funded and invested, AAA projects that try to compete in the most crowded market of them all where they only just recently found out that wide appeal does not equal sales?
Doesn't take a genius to realize now would be a good time to sell stock in crytek. It's like finding out Lindsay Lohan is gonna be looking after Michael Jackson's drug stash.
TBH Homefronts singleplayer was alright but the only thing that kept me playing was its multiplayer, plus the graphics looked a little outdated. But know that crytek is working on the IP and using it with cryengine? i cant wait to see what its gonna be like
I'm not buying another game from Crytek until they work on better gameplay/story telling
Homefront was a fun game. The only problem on my end was the lag.
crytek is one of the best developers out there and for anyone doubting them they are wrong.
btw its not cryteks main team making this game its Free Radical Design which made TimeSplitters and are now called crytek
