We all prefer our information to come in a little bow-tied package. A starting place, an exciting and tension filled middle, topped off by a satisfying finish. We prefer plots that make sense of the order of events by slowly revealing the meanings. Plots reveal how the outcome became, the plans, the purpose of the hero, the villains, and the bystanders that come across our way. Our attachment to stories is so strong and mysterious. We crave them. Movies and books are constructed of stories that already have definite glue. Video games are just the opposite
