Pixel Scribes: "Never in the history of gaming has a tale been as epic as that of Commander Shepard and his (or her) fight to save humanity. We followed him on Eden Prime in Mass Effect 1, where we first met Saren Arterius and his Geth army. We fought with him against Sovereign, a sentient machine left behind to open the way for the Reapers, and delayed the invasion that would ultimately wipe out all life as we know it. In Mass Effect 2, we were with him when his ship was destroyed by Collectors, and watched him die only to be rebuilt by Cerberus – a well-known terrorist organization with near unlimited resources at their disposal. We last saw him after he attacked the Collector base, where many longtime friends may have died depending on the choices we made, and now we follow him again as his tale reaches its apex and we fight to stop the Reapers once and for all. The Reapers are coming, and we’ll fight, or we’ll die."

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
