Capcom announced today that it will be brining some sparkling HD remastered versions of the once Nintendo Wii exclusives Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles to the PS3 via digital download. It seems a natural fit as the PS3's Move controller can perfectly mimic that of the Wii, but where does this leave Xbox and its Kinect?
Now that Resident Evil 3 remake is less than a month away, here's a look back at the other times Capcom reimagined the 1999 classic game.
Numbered entries aside, there have been a whole host of other Resident Evil games, across multiple platforms. Here are some you might have missed.
"As a longtime fan of the franchise there are several improvements I would like to see, and after the success of Resident Evil 7 and Monster Hunter: World, Capcom seems to be making all the right decisions with their tentpole franchises. Hopefully, this will be no different." -- PlayStation Enthusiast
Not at all surprising, I just wish they would have thought about doing this when they released Resident Evil 4 HD on PS3/Xbox. Would have loved to have played that with the Move after all the buzz about the Wii version and that controller being the best way to play.
Talk about connecting two completely unrelated news items.
Wow.
He didn't even bother to mention the exclusive content for the Xbox 360 version of RE: Operation Racoon City. I'm surprised this was actually published on an Xbox site. It seems more like something I would read on neoGAF or the GameFAQs forums.
Also, being an owner of both Move and Wii. Move has greater accuracy when it comes to motion gaming, but Wii has superior pointing and shooting. Take that for what you will.
Is it just because of the ease of transfering from the Wiimote to Move or did Sony shell out some cash. Either way it would be nice if they would show up on the marketplace eventually for XBOX owners.
not touching scamcom products. so annoyed about not buying street fighter x tekken especially since ive been waiting for it for ages. i cant believe how low one of my favorite game companies in the past has fallen :(
Ughhh, this is newsworthy? SMDH...
