Is Army Corps of Hell a hellish experience?

"If you can be bothered to play through all 30+ levels, there is a lot of content available, but I was tired of the repetitive combat, difficulty spikes and lack of innovation after 10. Having said that, that’s still way over 5 hours in- which is still not a bad amount of time given the length of many modern games."
