The Evolution of Indie Games

From the integration of the Xbox LIVE Arcade, to the indie game section on Steam there is a movement to discover small developers and garage game innovators. The game industry has gone full circle.We have grown from a couple of software engineers and art students making flash and dot games in their garage to a staggering industry full of AAA developers and it is nice to see that we are acknowledging the indie developer again, bringing in fresh ideas and innovative concepts to our sometimes stagnant medium.
