"Xbox Live Arcade will eventually cease to exist. Every Xbox 360 owner who has spent time enjoying the growing selection of titles on the service has surely had that thought dawn upon them at one point or another. Even assuming that the wait for a new batch of consoles is going to last a few more years, and that technical restrictions will prevent the most ambitious blockbuster releases from appearing on XBLA for some time yet, it’s impossible to not think about the service’s inevitable end. Now, however, Microsoft itself has acknowledged the mortality of XBLA."
Daizoren from VVGtv Writes: Sega makes another attempt to bring classic Sonic back from the dead after many failed installments in the franchise (with an exceptional entry in Sonic Generations) but does this sequel episode make improvements from that last? We’ve been promised a new “Momentum based engine” that is supposed to make the game feel more like the Genesis titles. Does Sega deliver on their promise? Or does Sonic live through yet another nightmare of a title?
the best sonic game ever IMO was sonic adventure for dreamcast. i havent played EVERY sonic game, but that one goes the hardest to me. lots of memories there lol

Let’s focus our collective attention on Xbox as a brand. By now you should have realized that Xbox Live is the actual vehicle driving Microsoft’s console on the road to success. Yes, there have been some speed bumps (down time), wrecks (RRoD) and other unforeseen problems but overall Microsoft’s version of the Pep Boys; Major, e and Stepto (Yes, I know he quit) have kept the wheels spinning rather nicely. So before you trade in or sell your proverbial car for a newer model, give me the opportunity to argue for having two consoles co-exist on Xbox Live at the same time. The current gen Xbox 360 and the unannounced Xbox Metro (that’s what I’m calling it).
Xbl needs to be one unified service that carries over everything from 360 owners gamer tag
......same could be said for PSN. In fact, its guaranteed. All these people playing Call of Duty aren't just going to stop playing once PS4/720 comes out. many won't be able to afford one so they'll continue buying/playing PS3/360 games.
They need to integrate Live better on their wp7 devices. Right now its poorly implemented.
All I want is my disc and downloaded games to work on my new console from day one.
Everything eventually dies...
I don't think it'll die so much as evolve to encompass more types of downloads. Still crossing my fingers for Steam on the next Xbox, as unlikely as that is.
Know this wont be taken well, but the fact that an XBLA "exclusive" often sells better on Steam isn't exactly good sign that its all that healthy now. That it more a limiting factor to indy games than anything else.
Wolf makes some interesting comments, not sure I agree with all of them but definitely food for thought.
XBLA has already evolved plenty, it's morphed from am auxiliary dose of small cheap games to... I don't even know what but I like it.
