Why Is Mega Man Powered Up Not On The PlayStation Network?

Siliconera writes, "Mega Man Powered Up, a PSP remake of the original Mega Man, was released in 2006 by Capcom, but only as a retail title. In the years to follow, Mega Man Powered Up was never transferred to the PlayStation Network, so you could download it onto your PSP like other Mega Man games such as Mega Man Maverick Hunter X.This week, a PlayStation Vita owner asked once again if there was any chance of the game seeing a PSN release."

I'd like to ask the same question for Birth by Sleep and the Metal Gear Portable games.

Birth by sleep isn't on psn because of complications with Disney.

Given Sony's tight relationship with Disney, you'd think that such issues would never arise. What does that mean for future Kingdom Hearts games?

I don't think the relationship with Disney have anything to do with it. Split Second is on the Playstation Network and it's published by Disney.

Edit: other than SS, I don't think there are any other Disney game on the PSN.

Nothing I'm sure the main games will stay Sony exclusive. All that main games were on Sony consoles even bbs most would say its a spin off but it's more like KH0 since its so Important to the story. I can't find the article to explain it further though.

Remakes & Remasterpieces: An Ongoing Look at the Best in the Biz

That's where remakes and remasters come in. Some might call them cynical money-grabs, but I'd prefer to call them modernizing and--at least with these examples on this inaugural edition of this new article series--improving the gameplay and visuals for old fans and new generations to enjoy. Bonus points if they add new content in as well!"

Mega Man VS. Mega Man: Powered Up

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "Many retro gamers have fond memories of playing the original Mega Man on the Nintendo Entertainment System, a game that was not a blast to play through but also one of the reasons why that era of gaming is often cited as being among the most challenging and rewarding to visit. And while Capcom has been keen on re-releasing the Blue Bomber’s first adventure over the years we don’t get full on remakes of his games, that is until the PSP saw the release of Mega Man: Powered Up, a stylistically different game but filled to brim with all of classic Mega Man gameplay that fans have come to know and love from the series. So for part two of our look at which is better, the original or the remake, we’re comparing Mega Man and it’s PSP remake."
