Seriousless News – Killzone 3 Not ACTUALLY Adopting a “Free-to-play” Model
GTANJ writes: "Early reports of Sony’s announcement to offer the multiplayer portion of Killzone 3 for free to customers indicated that this would be a sort of “free-to-play with limits” kind of approach to the game. While there would be a level cap, it was assumed that one could continue to play the game, only without the benefit of attaining new ranks. However, Sony has clarified that this is not actually the case. Sony posted this article on their Playstation Blog this morning. In the article, it says “it’s free to try – you can play any of the maps and modes until you reach the rank of Sergeant I. If you want to keep playing, attain higher ranks, and earn any of Killzone 3 Multiplayer’s four exclusive new Trophies, you can unlock the full version for only $15.”"
