Other MMOs could learn a few things from Star Wars: The Old Republic.
EA is nearing an agreement to move the ongoing development and operation of MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic from BioWare to third-party studio Broadsword Online Games, IGN has learned. The move is intended to allow BioWare to focus on Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
A new update for Star Wars: The Old Republic is coming out on PC and the patch notes provide us with an in-depth look at all the new changes.
I loved this game and have played since launch but don't let this article fool you, this game is a step above life support. While they are still technically updating the game, the updates are few and far between and there is a significant lack of quality control, so many little bugs that have been present for years.
SWTOR players, get ready for a new month of exciting in-game events! Here's what's coming up in January 2023.
Nice article, but I'm not sure I agree with the last point. I find the leveling speed to be a bit too fast. Every time I visit a new planet, I'm halfway through it's recommended level range and the mobs are generally quite easy to kill. I find myself skipping a lot of side quests now just so the planets are total ezmode by the time I get to them.
Love this game, but i can prob think of alot more than 5 lessons swtor can learn from other mmos.
Same old game, new IP and sugar coating. I lost interest in the game the moment I realized it was yet another WoW clone. Granted, the voice acting would really help and I'm sure there's much more polish, but at the end of the day, it's just not fun anymore to do the same stupid quests with the same boring battle system. I mean, come on! Two enemies just stand 5 feet from each other with no cover around and shoot at each other for 20 seconds, neither seemingly hurt until the last shot makes one fall down. How ridiculous is that?
I would very much like to play "eight KOTORs"...but I don't have the time for that!
