Man Utd accept Reds’ apologies
Manchester United have thanked Liverpool for issuing apologies following Luis Suarez's failure to shake Patrice Evra's hand before Saturday's game.
Suarez was making his first start for Liverpool since returning from an eight-game suspension after being found guilty of racially abusing Evra during the two teams' meeting at Anfield in October.
Saturday's match at Old Trafford was the first occasion the two players had faced each other since the original incident and it was hoped that a line could be drawn under the matter.
