It's true- gamers are going to be pleasantly surprised by just how powerful the feelings of nostalgia are when they pick up a controller and play the new Twisted Metal for the first time.
However, while the characters, vehicles, environments, power-ups, and weapons will assuredly bring back fond memories of many long nights playing split-screen with friends on the original PlayStation, these ingredients have been updated by the current technology and feature new elements that go far beyond simply bringing back good memories- this Twisted Metal stands to be a title that works to reinvent the series and put vehicular combat back on the mainstream gaming map.
Will PlayStation bring back some classic Twisted Metal games?
TM3 is my favorite but I'll take what they bring out gladly. Fun times back in the day and great soundtracks

Twisted Metal: Black is when the series really hit for me. I still love that game so much. It was kind of downhill for the series after that IMO. I'd love to see the series go back to its roots, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for David Jaffe coming back from where he is these days to oversee development of a competent sequel.
Everyone knows Twisted Metal... I mean literally everyone! Whether it is simply a childhood classic for you, or one of the worst, mind-corrupting disgraces to entertainment you can think of, you've at least heard of this iconic title.

All I ask for is a new Twisted Metal that allows flat screen & PSVR2 cross play that also supports a wheel.

They need to get the enemy AI balance right. Thats what made 2 the best in the series. Black was abysmal in that dept.
You don't. Do sequels. If you've gotta reboot, might as well do a new IP. God of War is the only game I can say that did a successful reboot
