Haywire Review | TheGameEffect
TGE:
Steven Soderbergh is an intriguing director. Rather than limit himself to one specific area, Soderbergh opts to experiment with a variety of film genres. From the biographical Erin Brockovich and his experimental indie Bubble, to last year's medical thriller Contagion, what cements his wide-ranging material is the depth and scope of his films.
Such is the case with Haywire, Soderbergh's recent entry into the action-thriller genre. The film is centered on Mallory Kane (Gina Carano), a marine-turned covert ops agent working for a private contractor hired by the U.S. government.
