Largest Multiplayer FPS Game Ever Held Over The Weekend

Pending a confirmation from The Guinness Book of World Records, technology company MuchDifferent held the world's largest FPS online game this past weekend. Utilizing the Pikkotekk technology developed by the Swedish based non profit, which allows developers to significantly boost the amount of players that can be seen on the same map or area of a virtual world, a Man vs Machine game was held with nearly 1,000 players. The video below shows off the match in action, and while it isn't the prettiest game to be played, the technology behind the FPS battle is quite impressive.
