I didnt miss driver got it at release :D its awesome fun. how ever i did miss resistance 3 i hired it and it was soo intense but never got the chance to get through it

CarlitoBrigante4877d ago

Yakuza 4 is in my Top 3 best games of 2011 along with Batman and Uncharted. However it had the best story! Goddamn it its so manly!

Panthers4877d ago

Im surprised by Driver being good. Driver 3 was terrible so I decided not to purchase one again. Guess I was too quick to judge. I might have to give this one a try.

Pintheshadows4876d ago (Edited 4876d ago )

You should try it for sure. It's really well done and as a game mechanic shifting from car to car is pretty special. Plenty of variety in vehicles, races and challenges as well.

The story is insane, but in a brilliant way.

Recently i've picked up F3EAR (17 quid), RF Armageddon (15 quid) and Brink. Brink is really poor. 8 maps? I was appalled and it only cost me a tenner.

trenso14877d ago

Good. Time to puck up a new game. Sad the theses games cost less than cod4 which has been out for a while now.

Shadows of the damned
Child of eden
De blob 2

PS3Freak4877d ago

I very much enjoyed Shadows of the damned.

Great game.

Ramses34877d ago

I keep forgetting to buy Bulletstorm, looks like a fun time.

GameOn4877d ago

Zavii have the 360 version for £8 delivered. I think I might have to try the demo again.

ShaunCameron4876d ago

I actually bought the game only to throw it out as soon as I got home because the more I thought about it the less excited I was about playing another FPS. I bought it only because I finally saw one with the original cover as opposed to the "Epic Edition" one.

Resistance 3 is a Classic, 13 Years On

Insomniac Games' thunderous conclusion to its acclaimed first-person shooter series remains an under-appreciated work of art.

Sony needs to remake the trilogy on ps5

CrimsonWing69206d ago

I’d rather them do a new game in the world of Resistance.

Cacabunga206d ago (Edited 206d ago )

I honestly liked the first one most..
killzone 2 and 3 outshined Resistance 2 and 3 for me in every aspect.

Eonjay206d ago

I absolutely adored Resistance 3 but they do not NEED to remake this game. They should do something that they enjoy and if it is Resistance then so be it.

Mr_cheese206d ago

Loved resistance 3, played the whole thing on co op with the move controller and gun, was very different!

Resistance 2 online was the best

gamerz206d ago

Me too, but also on a 3D tv! R3 was one of the few games that got plastic rifle panning motion right.

isarai207d ago

Such a criminally underrated series, id love a remaster collection of the trilogy.

preciousdeath206d ago

Yes! ...and make them PSVR2 compatible.

Pedrof206d ago

Not a classic in my opinion ; a pretty mediocre PS3 shooter as far as I'm concerned, not bad, not the worst of the trilogy, but certainly not great. Killzone 2 was miles ahead of it (and of most FPSs even today as far as I'm concerned).

pwnmaster3000206d ago

Naw man.
Resistance 1 will always be GOATed for me.
I remember playing all night on multiplayer. Such a fun game.

P_Bomb206d ago

Ah yeah, R1! I cut my teeth on the one-shot Walmart map, lol! Miss that.

gamerz206d ago

Played that demo soooooo many damn times since it was the only thing to play for a while at launch. That and motorstorm.

refocusedman206d ago

killzone was amazing but resistance was great as well. althpugh theybwrre both fps, I think that served different purposes.

JEECE206d ago

Thanks for turning Insomniac into a Marvel studio.

ApocalypseShadow206d ago (Edited 206d ago )

Although I agree on original games and creativity over licensed IP, especially something like Ghost of Tsushima. But Sony's looking at that series selling less and less overall with the 3rd estimated to not even sell 2 million. Gamers who say they loved it didn't really buy it.

While Spiderman the series has sold over 50 million not counting PC. And Spider-Man 2 is over 11 million so far. If you had their business and had to make their decisions, what would you do in their shoes?

JEECE206d ago

@ApocalypseShadow

Umm, that's exactly my point lol. Insomniac made great, original IP games and people didn't buy them because they were too busy lapping up yearly CODs and Assassin's Creeds, so naturally Sony/Insomniac had to pivot to something else.

Knushwood Butt206d ago

So you are saying 1 was the worst?
I respect your opinion but strongly disagree.

I'll start with what I didn't like about 3:
- OK, Nathan Hale is gone but new player character totally forgettable. Can't even remember their name.
- Awful forced in 3D. Just look at KZ3 for 3D done well.
- Online multiplayer that paled in comparison to 1 and 2. Put hundreds of hours into the first two. Probably less than 10 hours into 3.
- Campaign was OK but I played the other two more, especially 1.

Pedrof206d ago

1 had my favorite gunplay of the trilogy (no need for COD iron sight) so I guess my worst would be 2. At least 3 wrapped up the storyline, supported the move controller and had prettier graphics. But in my book, none of the three really stood out. From that era, I prefered Singularity for example and obviously Killzone 2.

I wish they'd bring back the Resistance 2 multiplayer. God that co-op was so much fun.

Duty Calls - Epic Games' Forgotten Call of Duty Parody

Back in 2011, Epic Games and People Can Fly launched a Call of Duty parody - Duty Calls - that has been lost to the annals of history.

closed_account720d ago

"Duty Calls: The Calm Before the Storm" sounds more like a massive case of the sh**s. 😂

I saw the parody mention, and half expected the ability to drop a deuce on your opponent... I left disappointed.
