This past week we told you about the appearance of Scarygirl on XBox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network at the price of $14.99. Since then, we were able to get our hands on the title, expecting a goth-flavored platforming romp that takes more than a few pages from Bionic Commando. What we found was an unresponsive, poorly thought-out, frustrating game with more focus on style than substance. While the visuals of Scarygirl are charming, the title's value quickly dwindles below the surface.
Sure, there was online gaming back in the day but the modern age of online video gaming began almost twenty years ago with Xbox Live 1.0.

Some people see charm in it's old established concepts, and others find that said concepts make for an uninspired romp through tired game mechanics.
