When the Pokemon series was created by Satoshi Tajiri and the company Game Freak back in 1996, the world was taken aback. It had not happened often before that nearly all children found a single thing that interested and drew them all in. The very idea of catching, raising, and training all the different creatures that were each unique was mind blowing to children at the time. The games sold by the droves and have been extremely popular ever since. The problem is that this franchise has slowed its advancements to a crawl. Each and every entry has been more or less the same and that is not a good thing for a series going on 16 years now. It is time to reinvigorate the Pokemon franchise and these are 5 things that Game Freak needs to change in the Pokemon series.
Nintendo and The Pokemon Company's Pokemon Gen 10, codenamed Gaia, will be exclusive to the upcoming Switch 2, based on a new rumor.
Is anyone expecting anything less? It will be exclusive to Switch 2 eventhough it will still look like a 3DS game
not surprised.
nintendo was prepared to have some games sell the console.
im sure the game will still look like its from the ps2 era tho.
I've lost interest in pokemon, the mega evolve stuff was a poor digimon rip off, then the stuttering mess the 3d versions are.
I'd love a remake of gold/silver in a top down view like lets go pikachu had, but sticking with the traditional pokemon mechanics.
Pokecology is a real book based on the behavioral science and ecology of Pokemon, and it's coming (to Japan) in mid-June.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are set to receive upgrades for the Nintendo Switch 2 to improve performance when the new console launches later this year.
Nice read. Couldn't agree more.
Man, I agree with this list 100%.
I would love to see customizable characters, non-linear open worlds, and MMO play in particular. If the next Pokemon game included all of that, that would keep gamers busy for a long time.
*Claps hands*
I swear these are the same things that have been said over and over and it's nice to see people are still talking about and wanting it. With the 3DS they could certainly start an on the go MMO style of play for Pokemon. Hell they could even have it linked to the system like they did with Crystal Chronicles.
I just can't see why they've never actually tried to make it more like an MMO. It would be great if it was connected.
Hopefully, they try it eventually.
man a fully realized 3d world pokemon game with great online functionality would be huge GOTY contender for sure.
a full fledged pokemon MMO would cause a huge jolt in the game industry.
a couple of other things. an open world RPG either like skyrim or witcher 2 style based in Hyrule would be an awesome game. and a metroid prime title with a full MP suite would be big deal. (i know metroid prime hunters for ds did somewhat, but it was a ds game, not a console game)
