ACTA – The European SOPA

While those of you living stateside will know by now that the SOPA act and PIPA act are currently 'dead', over the pond Europe is starting to take notice of The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement or ACTA.

As with SOPA, the purpose of ACTA is to needlessly reinforce existing rules. Unlike SOPA, it's far more confusing to understand what it is actually meant to do and a lot of it was developed in total secrecy.
