Eva Longoria Plays Kinect For Charity
Desperate Housewives‘ Eva Longoria was out in San Antonio Texas earlier this month promoting both her charity, Eva’s Heroes, and the Xbox Kinect.
She was joined by basketball athlete Malik Rose and retired star Sean Elliott for some games of Kinect Sports Season Two. “My Kinect bowling game is tight,” Rose declared at one point, even though Elliott pointed out the fact that he was “tossing that bowling ball into the stands.”
Besides the Xbox action, the celebs and charity attendees enjoyed some charitable gambling (still legal, apparently) with the likes of poker pro Phil Hellmuth.
Mario Lopez was beamed in via webcam, showing off Kinect’s video conferencing ability.
But beyond the glitz and playing and fancy atmosphere, this event was about bringing light to how the technology of video games has and will continue to help advance both physical and mental therapy.
