I completely disagree with the last one. Too call someone an idiot for not wanting to play platforms is a little childish. It is all about preference. I know I do not get the same enjoyment from classic platformers and my enjoyment usually runs out much quicker than other games. I may not flat out refuse platformers but it needs a lot of convincing for me to think about buying one because games are not exactly cheap

I agree with this article. But I only support piracy if you can't buy the game anywhere, you don't have the money for it at that second or you want to try it out. I game on Wii and PC, I love my Wii games because they are fun but according to some people it is not "hardcore". If I did buy another console it will probably be an xbox because it has a bunch of games I like and tons of indie games.

Every game I ever pirated I never beat.

I really don't understand the stance the author is trying to take. There is a tone of resentment in his arguments that stem from peoples preferences when it comes to gaming, and their opinions. The piece seems very hypocritical to put it simply.

As for "gaming's worst enemies", its the industry itself, as it seems to be caught in an increasingly cannibalizing cycle, propagated by an unrealistic outlook on cost vs profit. Hence how companies love the idea of something like Angry Birds. Thing cost cents to make in contrast of what its "worth".

Fact is I don't like elitists and people who support piracy. The bulk of the N4G crowd, I find to be very hypocritical and fanboyish, and constantly desiring to get its point across without listening to the opinions of others because they truly believe they're the only ones who are right. Hackers are douchebags who ruin gaming for a lot of people. No one likes little brats who annoy the heck out of others on XBL and PSN. Analysts say things that simply aren't true. People who think a new console is going to be announced by Sony or Microsoft so soon are demented. People who call themselves gamers when they're not are just projecting. And people who ignore the very games that got them into gaming are a bit jerky. How is any of that even remotely hypocritical?
