NowGamer – Puzzle Quest 2 Review

NowGamer – The original Puzzle Quest was something of a revelation for the match-up-three-tiles sub-genre of puzzle games, adding an RPG on top of very solid and addictive gem-sliding gameplay.

With the second version very little has changed – at least to the core mechanics that made the original so appealing. Rather than an endless string of score-based modes – such as that seen in the popular Zookeeper – Puzzle Quest 2 has a series of 'battles' with enemies. By matching specific tiles you can either deal damage to your opponent, or gather coloured mana necessary for your equipped spells and abilities.
