Sweet.
I'll be keeping my eye out on this game.

NYC_Gamer4912d ago

sounds good to me bring on more wrpgs :)

closnyc24912d ago

as much as i diskliked the idea of going multiplatform, i have faith that he will stick to pc as the main paltform and wont disappoint us.

Animals_as_Leaders4912d ago (Edited 4912d ago )

I don't get the deal about multiplat dissapointment. I game exclusively on pc and honestly....all the best ganes are multilplat.

Graphically: Metro 2033, just cause 2, farcry 2, resident rvil 5, mirrors edge, crysis 2, deus ex hr.

Gameplay: dead space 1/2, bioshock 1/2... There have even been good multilplat rts game; Supcom 2, RA3, C&C3 & kane's wrath.

Imo being exclusive just causes poor optimisation..eg Crysis.

O.T

anything from the creators of tw is a win in my book. I'm not sure which members of the team were involved in Hard Reset...but that game was awesome.

closnyc24912d ago

i mean going multiplatform as in dumbing down. Games themselves are fine on pc, i enjoy them as well but lets see the big picture here. Skyrims interface is all about consoles and most pc games are just ports. Deus ex and the new hitman have their own pc interface and assets (just read that about hitman) and i want witcher 3 to stay pc focused, for the hardcore, they already dumbed down the difficulty on witcher 2
with patches due to complaints and i am afraid of witcher 3 being consolized. However, this guy seems to be legit on the pc and its ok to make it multi if he does what he did with witcher 2 and what dice did with bf3 in terms of raw power, PC first, then ADAPT to consoles.

Somebody4912d ago

I don't mind multiplat games as long as the PC version doesn't get shafted in the process (horrible graphical/control optimization, extremely late release -1-3 months delay, Ok. Years in doubtful release? No, thanks). I don't even mind (or surprised) hearing the Witcher 2 is being developed for the X Box 360. I really wanted for the consoles to release their exclusive titles for the PC and I'm sure there are console gamers who really wanted for some of the PC exclusives (as few as they are) to come their way.

Some Lords of the Fallen 2 developers fired, scope reduced

PC Aficionado: "Lords of the Fallen 2 has been in development since 2014, just shortly after the release of the first game. Of course, it was supposed to be bigger, badder, and bolder. However, CI  Games’ Tomasz Gop is going back on that claim."

Hope for the best for the people fired.

naruga2911d ago (Edited 2911d ago )

these guys suffer from Uninspiration ....all their games are bland and generic ...Lord of the Falled ,Sniper Ghost warrior all copy stereotypes of previously good games...if they dont step up their art team and change the motive of the ultra macho -(but completley childish made) charcters , i can bet they wont have any success in the fututre

bluefox7552911d ago

Had no idea this was even being worked on.

gamesavior2911d ago

It has been since 2014 so I think the hype has died down.

FloydianAndroid2911d ago

I'm really surprised they even attempted a sequel. The first game was to dark souls what two worlds was to oblivion in my opinion.

Kavorklestein2911d ago

Except LOTF played smooth and was more like Zelda mixed with Dark Souls

FloydianAndroid2911d ago (Edited 2911d ago )

To each his own but I don't see the Zelda similarities

Kavorklestein2911d ago

@floydian
The combat and thematic boss fights being smooth is Zelda like

Lords of the Fallen is already a great game and I hope 2 is even better. This franchise has amazing potential to be one of the greatest rpg games.

OB1Biker3625d ago (Edited 3625d ago )

I liked the way Tomasz Gop was showing a lot of gameplay before the release and was straightforwards

Mostafeto3625d ago

Maybe he was planning to leave and due to the misunderstanding, he decided to leak some stuff.

Grap3625d ago

LOL the game is still broken with that stupid DRM.

Mostafeto3625d ago

The game isn't broken at all and DRM is a good thing to protect the rights of the video game company and avoid or reduce piracy so yeah buddy DRM isn't stupid

tablecloth3625d ago

Witcher 3, DRM free.

And Denuvo DRM is notorious for performance loss.

Grap3625d ago (Edited 3625d ago )

@Mostafeto
you clearly don't know what is Denuvo DRM. That garbage harm honest buyers. The witcher 3 didn't had drm and it sold on pc 1.5m in it's first month.

Maxor3624d ago

DRM is a good thing, said by no one ever. How stupid of a fanboy do you have to be to get on the pro DRM stance?

The video it's so boring. It took AGES to kill one enemy.

Game doesn't impress me at all. Poor texture work, tons of screen tearing, and a few bugs that stood out easily make it look unpolished.

Besides that, the gameplay just looks unexciting.

That Fire Warden boss at the end looked so EASY. Dark Souls, this is not.

This boss telegraphed every move like 3 full seconds in advance, it moves slow as hell, its attacks took forever to execute and were easy to dodge, and it doesn't close the distance between himself and you in a rapid way. I don't recall any bosses in Dark Souls that are anywhere close to that easy to fight. I don't even think there are that many regular, plain old enemies in Dark Souls that are that easy!

Zichu3928d ago

Although I really enjoy the Souls series, it suffers from clunky controls, slow combat and repetitive tactics in terms of combat.

The mobs aren't hard in Dark Souls, you will die on multiple occasions, but you learn how they move and they become easy. Some you can just exploit easily.

This guy has probably played this game over and over again, so he knows how to move and when to hit. This game also looks a lot smoother than Dark Souls, so I am hoping for smooth gameplay and controls.

callahan093927d ago

I have never heard anyone call the Souls games "clunky" in control, and I disagree with that 100%.

The guy playing making it look easy doesn't mean that it isn't ACTUALLY easy also. It looks easy as hell. That boss moves very slowly, it takes a long time to finish an attack, it telegraphs every move like 3 seconds in advance, it's just plain and simply an easy looking fight.

the_dark_one3929d ago

is the screan tearing from the game or video? or are my eyes deceiving me?

Enemy3928d ago

Looks like it's from the video feed, actually. Developers said there will be no tearing.

the_dark_one3928d ago

ya i first thought so. it was weird cause in the video there was like big line of distortion so it made more sense being the video

jobboy3928d ago (Edited 3928d ago )

screen tearing is terrible and really need to be fixed

Ehh, this is looking pretty rough around the edges... Definitely on the fence about it. Also, why aren't the enemies attacking him?... Hmm, idk.

Omnisonne3928d ago

He explained earlier in the vid that these specific enemies are blind, also its just the tutorial lol

Sketchy_Galore3928d ago

Disgusting how little creativity and originality there is in gaming these days. It's really turned into Hollywood. Just moneymen crafting games around market feedback of what sold well last year.

Roccetarius3928d ago

Yeah, that's pretty much why you have to be picky about games these days. There are certainly not many games, that are actually designed without market feedback being dominant.

Omnisonne3928d ago

Yh, idont care what people might say or think, but this game took a LOT of mechanics from the Souls series, and im not entirely sure if i want to support devs like that. But iguess we'll see

equal_youth3928d ago

i would support them as they try to keep the game on the hard difficulty lvl. Also i think the high-fantasy setting is well underused in gaming. I will wait and see but if they stay away from the casual/easy gaming methods i will buy it.
