It’s a stellar week to get new great content on the PlayStation Store! New PS3 Full Games, some great perks for PlayStation Plus, and anticipated PSN Releases make their way to your hands with today’s update.
You'd think Sony would recognize the fact that Vita gamers are a tad upset by the whole "no games in July" thing and maybe, just maybe offer them something--anything--on the PSN.
...But apparently not. Not only are we stuck with nothing new retail, we also get nothing from the PSN. Great show of support, Sony.
Dancing video-games have really moved with the times, if you’ll excuse the pun. As fun as Dance Dance Revolution could be, at its heart it was more of a ‘Simon Says’, played with your feet with crazy high-paced music playing in the background, than a true dance video-game.
The motion gaming craze has provided a serious chance for the genre’s evolution, however, with Just Dance pioneering gameplay that actually resembles real dancing, for a change. Kinect took that one step further with Dance Central, tracking the movements of your entire body.
"When O-Games decided to work on Get Up and Dance, I'm sure they had the best of intentions in mind. Ubisoft didn't think so, and actually went so far as to accuse them of copying their Just Dance property. Capitalizing on the dancing sector when they did led Ubisoft to enjoy major success, as current sales charts still demonstrate. Yet, there seemed to be a sort of welcoming attitude towards other dance titles. Perhaps they felt there wouldn't be another game that could top them. Whatever the case, along came O-Games with Get Up and Dance and a point to prove; suddenly there's a spirit of competition. I'm not sure why Ubisoft considered this title to be such a threat in the first place, because in all honesty, Get Up and Dance is definitely the weaker option." -- Wiiloveit.com
