Nano Assault Review [GamingUnion.net]

GamingUnion.net writes: "Back during the launch of the Game Boy Advance in 2001, German-based developer Shin’en created Iridion 3D. Originally developed as a Game Boy Color title before being moved to the then-new handheld, it was a remarkable title if only for its graphics which pushed the boundaries of what was expected from the GBA due to its quasi-3D graphics. The developer released a sequel on the platform years later and followed up with two Nintendo DS titles under the name Nanostray, each of which featured the same frantic and demanding “bullet hell” shooting action. With the Nintendo 3DS now taking the spotlight the developer has revived the franchise yet again with its newest iteration: Nano Assault."

Seems like it's been a bit hit and miss with reviewers. Some love it, some don't.

6/10 :( That's a shame. I guess I'll stick with my super stardust.

Hardedge4495d ago

I'll stick with Super Stardust HD. That or Starfox. Lag doesn't really help in bullet hell games. :(

Nano Assault Review - MX2

Nano Assault is a particularly fit game for going mobile as it has many short and intense levels that suck you in, especially with how well the 3DS's 3D actually works. Developed by Shin'en, they've made several smaller games that you may have come across, Art of Balance and FAST Racing League to name a few.

FanBolt writes: "Nano Assault EX was announced earlier this morning via Shin'en Multimedia's Twitter account. Nano Assault was originally released on the Nintendo 3DS as a retail title last December, and is now being re-released in digital form on the Nintendo eShop in Europe and North America. The initial release, a spinoff of their acclaimed Nanostray franchise, was met with favorable critical reviews. The new version is “based on the original release but with new game modes & options”."

believe me or not, but those are the best news for today (in gaming), I've waited for soo long of this game's announcement in Europe (no matter eshop or retail).. game has got lots of great reviews, graphics, which for me is better than Resident Evil 3ds..and other this: I just love shooters - shmups!!! we need more games like this and like Omega 5 (still waiting patiently for new on 3ds, hope it's not canned), Mushihimesama..pleaase, make some shmups for 3ds eshop in 3d, pleaaase!! :)

but still, I'm happy that at last I can buy it.. Shin'en are great devs who make good games and with good graphics on Nintendo platforms

✔ Fixed
Add/remove tag
Remove Majesco and Shin'en. From the guide:. When submitting previews, impressions, and reviews, only the game tag should be added, and not the company tag. This aids users who search for company information, as their search will not be cluttered with previews and reviews of games, but instead will be filled with news and articles directly about the company.
