Top Five – Games of 2011
Pedantic Gamers: Of this generation, 2011 has got to be the undisputable best year in gaming. Even if not all the games released were what some of us expected them to be, the variety alone in killer apps is unparalleled by any other year before it. From Portal 2, to inFamous 2, to Dragon Age II, to Bastion, to L.A. Noire, to many more, the past year was gaming nirvana in every way imaginable. While 2012 is looking to be shaping up to be nearly as spectacular and we already have our sights set on some very high profile upcoming releases, let’s take a minute to talk about the best games of 2011. I figured that doing one list would not be enough to cover all the wonderful titles released last year, so we here at Pedantic Gamers came to the decision that each staff member would compose his or her own top five games of 2011. This is my list; if your favorite game didn’t make it, then keep your eyes open for the lists of the other pedantic critics.
