Battlefield 3: When Will The PS3 Problems Be Fixed?

GameBandits: Without doubt, EA’s Battlefield 3 is the best direct competition to Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 3. While the latter appears to be the favorite choice among FPS console gamers, BF3 has proven to be the better game based on feedbacks from FPS gamers shifting to it from MW3.

But BF3 is admittedly not without technical issues and PS3 players are known to suffer the most, if blog posts are to be believed. EA Digital Illusions are now busy for the next BF3 patch for both PS3 and Xbox 360 users but no word yet if the VoIP and input lag issues on the PS3 are part of what the patch will address.

Voice comm is erratic which results in broken speech.
Sometimes the sound cuts out too.

Other than that, no problems for me. Very enjoyable game.

^^ For the first six months of BFBC2 on the PC we had the same trouble. And still occasionally have trouble with it in BF3.

im sorry as much as i love the game and will never stop playing it but yes it has alot of problems with it especially the manage squad getting seperated almost everytime.The voip isnt perfect but still managable and the two worst things i have a problem with is the spawning which is terrible and the most recent is the hit detection is just off completely not all the time but the alot more then it should be.Shooting someone 2 feet in front of me with there back to me and unloading 46 bullets and nothing registers has to be the worst thing i have ever seen.I hear complaints about this problem so much more now then before.I doesnt stop me from playing the game but it does get frustrating.The lag only happens when some random guy joins a room then it seem everyhting gets laggy as hell but that only hgappens once in a blue moon.Im sure Dice are doing everything they can to fix it but at least there not MWF3 problems.All i hear are complaints about everything to do with that game im thankful that i jumped off that hype train at MW2.

It seems to be a popular myth that the PS3 is the only console with problms. That might be due to every time some minor problem pops up, someone feels the need to write 20 articles about it and submit them to N4G.

The mics aren't too great on MW3 either. Both games need to fix that.

But some of Battlefield's glitches are rather annoying so I'd appreciate them being ironed out.

They need to lower the health on tanks and give engineers a bigger cool down. Tanks and engineers are an OP combo IMO. Pre patched tanks were better balanced.

My true belief is that after a long enough while, people are going to quit griping about the input lag and VOIP issues on the PS3 and EA/DICE will sweep the problem under the rug at that point. The problems do exist and are quite a pisser after you played the demo at length thinking they would fix the VOIP in the retail purchase only to get the game and have that problem persist and then come to find out the aimming isn't near as smooth as the demo as well, to say the least I thought well this sucks but i'm sure they will have this fixed in the first week or two.... Now I'm the little blue guy in the corner holding my breath.

DICE need to fix the FAMAS and F2000 if anything. Haven't really had any problems and I've sunk over 100 hours into the PS3 version.

There is nothing wrong with either of those guns. If they nerf them all those people that kill you with them will just start killing you with something else.

Learned my lesson with Battlefield Bad Company and have avoided the series and most EA games to date that rely largely on online gameplay. Seems that there are always issues that persists for months and years. BFBC had the same VoIP problems that seem to be plaguing BF3 players - at least on the PS3.

Biggest issue Ive seen so far is the engineers with the repair tool.

In bfbc2 they had a cool down period, and rightly so, otherwise tanks and choppers become immune to rocket fire. They also made it so a chopper had to be level to use the repair tool, so you couldnt use it in the air very well.

Well that all seems to have been thrown out of the window in favour of godly jet and rocket defying choppers. All it takes is a half decent pilot and one engineer out back and within 5 misn your team is foced back to its spawns.

No point trying to take it down with rockets, hell no point in touching the controller AT ALL. Half your team has already rage quitted and your dying within 10 seconds of every spawn...

The gun imbalances I can take, they're not game breaking. Indestructible choppers however, that is.

They are better fixing the PC version too. There are so many bugs, it's ridiculous. Squad rush and squad deathmatch don't even work properly! You can't even be in a squad, but you are are supposed to. I mean, squad is in the name of these modes! These two modes are broken!
