PlayStation Vita did not make it into the Media Create top 20 software chart, which was released yesterday. It didn't make it into the Media Create top 30 software chart, which was released earlier today.
A relic of its time or a buried treasure from the past?
I was really hoping this would have made it into one of the collections. Like how they did with the GoW PSP games.
I loved this game. It was like an extension of the first one. Why haven't we gotten an HD release yet?
Sony should have tried harder to support the Vita. It ended up just a solid emulation machine that happens to have a handful of classics.
I really like Uncharted:Golden Abyss on ps vita it would be dope if they remaster it for PlayStation 5
As we come to the end of 2021, let's take a look back as we celebrate many anniversaries that are up and coming next year.
Uncharted Golden Abyss originally pitch had plans for a "Mafia Wars" like multiplayer, and its original expected budget was at $13.5 million.
I remember buying this and the Vita day one in 2012. That was almost ten years ago, damn.
it's going to be really interesting to see how this plays out. the thing that is striking to me is the way Vita is almost set up to offer proof of failure.
the media generally use game sales as a way of gauging success of a console/handheld, but here, on the Vita and to some extent PSP, we have a huge problem. game sales are always taken from retail sales, but Vita is pushing online sales above all else.
so, just consider what i said about Vita being almost set up to fail... see how it's simply a matter of perception or interpretation, or even subject to the whim of certain sites? if Vita is successful in pushing digital distribtion, then the Vita can also be seen as a huge failure if game sales in shops are used to demonstrate it's success.
what would be the answer to this problem? this is simple: Sony need to start giving out numbers of game sales from PSN. will Sony do this? you can bet your life that they'll drag their feet and not consider it relevent until the shit hits the fan, and it could be too late then. i really hope Sony spot this problem from the get go... we'll see
My guess is that next week the Vita will have probably less then 50k but thats because the people who REALLY wanted a Vita already got it. The sales will pick up in early 2012.
