It seems every year around this time we talk about how many great titles came out over the past 12 months. Without sounding like too much of a broken record, we can safely say that 2011 was another stellar year for PlayStation 3 exclusives. This was not, however, a big year for new IPs as every game nominated in our list was a sequel, and they were all sequel to very popular Sony exclusives.
As PlayStation celebrates its 30th anniversary, let's explore the best PlayStation games Sony has to offer.

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.
30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.
Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

Isaac Clarke of Dead Space fame has appeared in many games, both as a playable character and an Easter Egg. Have you played them all?

i love going back to it and seeing all of
the amazing levels people keep coming up with.
Although uncharted 3 was pure epicness!
killzone and infamous were awesome too.
put most hours into yakuza 4,
platinumed Infamous 2
Preferred Resistance over killzone 3 which was the best look shooter and havent picked up lbp2 yet. Uncharted single player sucked me in but havent put any hours into multiplayer yet ...warhark beta sucked that time off
uncharted 3 was my favorite among those but still all of those were great
Uncharted 3, Killzone 3, Motorstorm: Apocalypse, Yakuza 4, Resistance 3, Dungeon Hunter: Alliance and SOCOM 4 were all awsome!
