This year there was a lot of pression against PS3 exclusives. Why ?

Because maybe on other devices there were not so much exclusives.

I think there was clearly negativity around those exclusives due to this fact whereas multiplatform games have been well recieved because of their status.

Those exlusives drained a lot of hate, i don't thing they deserved such treatment, but it's a cycle, and human mind is sometimes so binary, it's not a surprise.

I think Sony will keep delivering good games this year to come, there will be again this hate towards them due to the fact that there's not so much exclusives on other platforms in 2012.

It may be the time to reward an editor that still push forwards games to gamers.

You know what I hate? When someone writes a 'best (insert which ever console/pc here)' and includes games that you could get on anything...

What's the point? You might as well make a best games of 2011.

Also. I have to get this off my chest. Why the hell is DA2 even considered 'Good'? I was a huge DA:O fan. I played the hell out of it, I've beaten it three times, each time completing every quest I could find, and each time taking completely different character routes. Then I pop in DA2 on release day, and I'm greeted by one of the worst sequels I've ever played. Not only did they dumb the game down, but they completely took out the actual RPG elements. Worse than they even did with ME2.

My biggest issue, the reason that ME2 is a great game, and imo a better overall game than ME1, is that in ME2 bioware didn't recycle room after room, planet after planet. DA2 was decent for the first... idk. hour? Then I kept finding myself thinking, 'Haven't I been here before?' I remember the article about a week or two ago that complained that MW3 reused buildings from MW1. I hate CoD, but honestly, who cares? It's one, maybe two buildings. DA2? By the middle of the game, it felt like every single dungeon was an exact copy of a previous dungeon, same room design, sometimes even the same exact path. Some people called the game good? I called it a joke.

why isn't Killzone 3 and Uncharted 3 on that list???

TheFirstClassic4912d ago (Edited 4912d ago )

Those two games and R3 and Infamous 2 are all better than cod, and definitely more worth mentioning than plants vs. zombies.

After a year with great exclusives, they only put one on that list? I agree with number one though.

evilunklebud4912d ago

KZ3... maybe, maybe not. I personally thought 2 was stronger.

But UC3 should be top 3.

badz1494912d ago (Edited 4912d ago )

no Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 and inFAMOUS 2 = INSTANT FAIL!

this is the CRAPPIEST "top 10 games" list EVER!

dead space 2 was awesome one of my fav of the year

MizTv4912d ago

kz3 sucked should not be on that list just because it looked good does not make it a good game

TheFirstClassic4912d ago

Killzone 3 was still a good game, even though it wasn't as good as Killzone 2 in my opinion. Better than cod anyway...

MS could compress their games on disc

raWfodog2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

Skyrim is still my favorite ES game. I’m playing through it again right now since I never finished it.

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Levii_928d ago

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

LG_Fox_Brazil7d ago

That's a pretty fucking great list

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

Fallout and Skyrim show us that talented developers make great games when you leave them alone

That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.

Christopher31d ago

I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.

anast29d ago

Larian hit another level with DOS:2 and then took it even further with BG3. They do high quality work.

jznrpg30d ago (Edited 30d ago )

Skyrim was a letdown compared to previous games and so was Fallout 4

Kosic29d ago

I agree, I found it an interesting game. But nowhere near worth the hype (unless you include mods)

dmonee30d ago

Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time

TheColbertinator30d ago

We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.

anast29d ago

Skyrim feels like the game was made in a hurry with a disorganized team.
