Well asked friend. I can certainly understand the concern gamers might have towards Capcom these days.

However it's worth sharing something I caught a couple of weeks ago. In an interview with one of MvC3's producers, he mentioned that working on Ultimate rather than DLC was due to complications caused by Japan's tsunami/earthquake disaster from earlier this year. With this in mind, and the large amount of hate from the fanbase that Ultimate has spawned, I highly doubt that Capcom will be doing anything like this in the near future.

Thanks for the comment!

Yeah, I heard mixed stories about whether the truly unfortunate tsunami/earthquake disaster made them decide to make Ultimate instead of DLC. Personally, I just wish Capcom offered some incentive to those who purchased MvC3 at release.

How on Earth can a tsunami/earthquake effect such a thing? If anything I'd say it would be easier to release DLC than a whole new physical product. Not to mention MVC series isn't even that big in Japan. Seems like a piss poor excuse as to why they are milking their fans.

They were forced to halt production due to staff taking time off for medical conditions, caring for family members, taking care of finances ect. So releasing a full game of content was their way of making up for delaying DLC.

how can they make an arcade edition when this game isn't even in arcades.. i swear anyone can make an article with hardly any knowledge about the fighting game community.

fighting game fans like umvc3

casuals feel ripped off. (even thought theyre getting an amazing deal). which is understandable.

I'm glad I didn't buy this game. Will buy when Capcom is finished with it.

Mike_Tha_Hero4944d ago

I understand the criticism but if you want the game then I'm sure the $10-$15 isn't going to hurt your pockets.

With that said I doubt they'd actually pull this again.

If there is another version it'll be like SSF4: AE, where it can be DLC or a new disc.

Capcom seriously dropped the ball with MvC Infinite. You can tell that it was heavily influenced by outside marketing that wanted to promote the characters in the MCU films only. The roster was lacking, the gameplay was slower than the previous game and there just wasn't a lot of the wackiness we come to expect.

Best Superhero Video Games Available Right Now

From Xfire: "A lot of video games are designed to make players feel like a superhero. However, very few actually feature superheroes or have players take on the role of a superhero. What makes this even worse is that there are even fewer superhero video games that can be considered good."
