Need For Speed: The Run [Review] |

Ian Fisher writes: Maybe I’m just growing more jaded or expected more based on the history of the Need For Speed brand, but Need For Speed: The Run is a barely entertaining game that hardly lives up to previous titles in the series. The inclusion of a somewhat cohesive action narrative can be appreciated to an extent, but the barely there plot and characters that are literally wafer thin in the charisma department make the mode a complete throwaway. There are some nice thrills in The Run here and there, both in the single-player and multiplayer modes, but everything becomes a comedy of errors due to poor design decisions and an online mode plagued with technical issues.
