Trendy Gamers: Liqua Pop is a very tough game to review. On one hand, it is a very basic game of combining colored bubbles to help a frog up a tree. On the other hand, it is a very relaxing game that looks gorgeous and just puts a smile on your face. Luckily, the relaxing nature overwhelmed the basic gameplay and I ended up enjoying it quite a bit.
Absorbing to look at and play, Liqua Pop bursts what fun there is by turning the pressure too high.
GameZebo - Great new twist on match-3 gameplay. Touch screen mechanics are effective and intuitive. Stunning visuals. Serene music and art style make for a zen vibe.
IGN: Look, I’ve played enough match-three puzzlers to last a lifetime. I’m naturally hesitant to recommend yet another unless it delivers something genuinely fresh. Liqua Pop does precisely that, thanks to both its excellent style, but also because it’s just so natural to squeeze bubbles around the screen to make matches. Give it a try – you'll totally dig it.
