While it’s no secret that the processing power required to run Google’s latest Ice Cream Sandwich update may be a little too much to handle for older Android devices, there is one that doesn’t even feel it.
That’s because it’s the first device to feature NVIDIA’s new quad-core Tegra 3 processor, and it makes light work of the fancy features found in Ice Cream Sandwich, as well as 1080p high profile video playback, and a quad-core optimized version of the game Riptide GP.
AMD CEO Lisa Su talks about the Xbox AMD partnership, next-gen Ryzen + Radeon chips, and AI rendering tech coming to all Xbox devices.
AMD is really building hype around their unique partnership with Microsoft to help and build an advanced and seamless Xbox ecosystem across all Xbox consoles and devices.
I wonder what she meant by "full roadmap of gaming optimized chips" though? Seems ambitious.
Next year´s Xbox Showcase already looks promising and exciting. Here´s hoping they deliver.
Some odd, deliberate wording, no branding, not 'Xbox consoles, Xbox handhelds' specifically, feels and sounds like they're building towards hardware that anyone can be used or licensed to/by themselves and other manufacturers.
Multiplatform software and hardware 'Xbox/AMD APU'.
Shares vision....we provide chips for money, this deal will sell many chips, we will make lots of money...good vision
The marketing behind this is so heavy that I worry about the actual outcome. Why are they just not showing us the product, why all this talking in market speak?
A psychological survival horror game that takes place in 1990s Poland where you play as Tomasz who is searching for his missing friend in the town Jeziorne-Kolonia. A strange substance has taken over the town and is transforming its inhabitants into grotesque monsters.

BTW, for anyone interested this tablet releases next month $499 for 32gb model :)
Wow that's a great price. It beats the iPad 2 in terms of performance and price. Now that is competitive.

Cant wait for the upcoming quadcore android cell phones loaded up with Nvidias tegra 3 processor.
At this rate phones will quickly eclipse the Vita and since Vita can already do current gen console like graphics. If Phones surpass that and get HDMI output (which they already have) along with bluetooth controller support it truely will be epic having a device that does it all.
@below
I completely agree. Androids and Iphones already have the casual market, which to be honest was the larger part of the pie. 3DS and Vita need the casual base too, unfortunately for them this wont happen. Casuals rather carry around 1 device then having multiple devices.
Since these devices are getting yearly upgrades and most people tend to change Cellphones every 2-3 years anyways, its like getting a free upgrade to graphics performance as well. Something which doesnt happen with dedicated devices like 3DS or Vita, in the long run both the dedicated devices will be left in the dust. Along with bluetooth controller support these phones may grab a good pie of the hardcore market too.
I wonder how long the battery will last under heavy use. Never been sold yet on the whole tablet systems due to poor battery life across all platforms.
It's really interesting how the cores of the processor work.. switching on & off when they're needed ti improve battery life.

Very nice technology.. but it's currently in tablets which are crap, I want to see this tech in mobile / android phones.
