IGN – Shinobi Review

IGN – It's been a long time since the Shinobi series was in the ninja spotlight. But the fan-favorite franchise that premiered as a side-scrolling arcade title back in 1987 has finally made a return with Shinobi for the Nintendo 3DS. Fans of the original games will no doubt enjoy seeing the series resurrected – and in many ways it captures the hack-and-slash allure of the originals. Still, the effort of developer Griptonite Games, while admirable, ultimately failed to make a package astounding enough to breathe new life into this long-dead series.
