There are 10 different Races in Skyrim. All have appeared in past Elder Scrolls games in the other regions of Tamriel. Each race has unique abilities and stats that make them better suited to different play styles.

I went with the wood elf. I don't know if it was the right decision... He's good with a bow but I thought I'd get to choose some specialist skills like in oblivion. I'm sticking with it, though.

plus he looked the most normal/least retarded out of the lot. Everyone else either had a vacant cross-eyed expression on their face, a terrible complexion or whiskers...and I sure as hell ain't playing as someone who's got whiskers. No one would take me seriously. I want to embark on epic quests; not curl up on my masters lap and play around with balls of yarn.
