Xbox Japan Dishes Fall 360 Update Details
Depending on where you live, a big ol’ up Xbox LIVE update is hitting either the 4th or the 5th. The update of course is bringing things like a parental timer, improved Japanese text chatting and in-game Chatpad messengering. Besides being able to deleted demos from Played Games, your game player profile will get a "personal profile," which players can use to list their name, country and 498 characters. (Keep in mind, that’s Japanese characters and not English letters.) It’s also possible to refer to a Friend List as well, saying who you are friends with in the profile.
The big addition is "Game Library," which is above "Achievements" and "Games Played." Clicking on "Game Library" a menu. It features My Games, Previously Played Games, Friends Currently Playing, Game Store and Automatic Downloads (Off). Clicking on My Games opens up a new type of menu called "Twist," which will be used for multiple types of navigation. It’s a horizontal Sony XMB-style Zune navigational bar that lists Games, Arcade, Demos, Recently Downloaded Games, Recently Played Games, etc. Marketplace also gets a reorganization with it divided into Featured Content, Newly Arrived, Game Store and Video Store. There should be more when the actual update hits.
