Gordon Bryant says, "Festival of Blood keeps to the spirit of the inFamous name. It's a lot of fun, with great vampire and superpowers to play around with, as well as a good amount of available side content. The only major problems are performance-related issues and a short main story. Definitely worth a try if you're into the series. Happy Halloween!"
For decades, superheroes had the worst luck when it came to video games, the X-Men chief among them. There are a few welcome outliers—Raven Software’s X-Men Legends duology remains a classic, Wolverine’s game adaptation for his first solo movie has its silly charm, and you can still find the classic beat-’em-up cabinet in arcades everywhere—but there are more lows than highs, from Mutant Wars and X2: Wolverine’s Revenge, to the franchise’s last big stab at mainstream gaming respectability, 2011’s X-Men: Destiny. Sluggish and overwrought, the latter seemed to be the kiss of death for Marvel’s mutants, the precursor to their eventual fate years before they were kicked out of Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. (Getting left out in the cold during Marvel’s big purchase by Disney probably didn’t help.)
Sony needs to remaster both infamous games for ps4/5. Incredible games with pretty easy platinum trophies.
I've actually thought the same thing and how Sucker Punch can expand this IP and have their own Xmen. I wish we get an sequel to Infamous 2's bad ending which gave everyone affected by the blast super powers
Yeah I really enjoyed the first and second one. Never before had I played a game that was like this.
A new experience and the for me as a new fan!
Messiah or devil? Good or evil? Few games present players with compelling choices and fewer still nail that moral conundrum with such flair as those coming out of Sucker Punch Productions. To celebrate the franchise's 7th anniversary, we select the best moments from inFAMOUS.
INfamous 1 ,having to choose between Trish and the Doctor.
Infamous 2,finding out who the Beast was.
Both games are amazing.
PS3 Attitude: "To be honest, we’ve never really understood Halloween at PS3 Attitude. As they grow up, children are understandably told time and time again to never ever accept sweets from strangers. Oh, apart from on Halloween, that is, when this kind of behaviour is positively encouraged. Madness!
But we digress. Halloween is also a great excuse to play some of the scariest games on PS3, so we dare you to make it through as many of our chosen titles as you can."
I think i'm going to Hellingly Asylum this halloween, but if I was to choose a game to play it would be Amnesia.
Some good choices but I'd replace Dead Rising with Kingdom hearts, assuming you haven't completed Halloween town yet ofcourse :P
I'm going to hit the PS Move arcade shooters hard, first with House of the Dead, then I''ll aim to complete Dead Space Extinction.
You want true horror you play Amy, after playing that you'll wake up every night in a cold sweat screaming in horror at actually play that :p
Sad this didn't end up as well as the monster themed DLC for Red Deead Redemption, I had high hopes, but I guess it sounds pretty good except for the presentation issues.
nice review, that game looks interesting! :-)
Too bad that it has been rushed, but I've seen much, much much worse! XD
thanks for sharing! ^^
I'd like to see SuckerPunch put together a new open world franchise next generation but please no more infamous. This series is so repetitive and try as Sony might (just as with Resistance) you have talented developers who really shouldn't have done anything beyond the first game for each respetive series.
I read this review to see what he was on about but I dont get it.
I've had no Performance related issues at all.
In fact I was just sitting there last night remarking on how alive and dynamic the city looked as opposed to Batman where everything is so static and cant be moved. FoB has much more going on at the ground level, and theres much more to do.
Sorry the guy got lost for a while. I think I was on the same part. You had to do a couple UGC levels and the story kicked back in. Didnt take long to work out.
As for the length of the game, its download, 10 dollar game. What did you expect?
Having said that, I think I've played about 6-8 hours in 2 sittings and I'm not done yet. I think I'm only about halfway as good as I can guess.
PS
Swarm of Bats in truly, truly cool. Staking from the Swarm is Ubic.
EDIT
PPS
I only complained about his remarks, I didnt have a problem with his score.
Until I saw what he gave it for presentation. 6.5? What a joke.
And 7.5 for value. I'm getting about a $1 per hour here.
