Types Of Zombies in COD – BlackOps

BlackOps Zombies mode is definately coming into its own with the release of blackops, some people are even buying blackops wholely for zombie mode itself! I myself love zombie mode, so im going to show you all of the tips, tricks and just generally give you the total rundown on zombie mode. So let’s start with some general tips for both solo and multiplayer:

Solo:

Always buy quick revive at the very beggining of the game

Never let zombies in to gain bonuses in the early levels – One nuke killing ten or so zombies gets you 400 points whereas knifing/shooting them earns you 1200+ minimum.

Rape trains are the only way to survive when playing solo, so know your route and run it! I will go into routes for each map later.

Juggernog is essential when playing solo or multiplayer for that matter, running rape trains you are definately going to get hit as you run past zombies so juggernog is a must!

Multiplayer:

Communicate – This is probably the most important part of being successfull as a team on black ops zombies, good team communicate allows each and every member of that team to know what is happening around/behind them allowing them to concentrate on their own area!

Again – never let zombies in to gain bonuses in the early levels – One nuke killing ten or so zombies gets you 400 points whereas knifing/shooting them earns you 1200+ minimum.

General:

In the two rounds you shouldnt be firing a single bullet, knife only! First round takes one knife hit to kill, Second round takes two. Plus it earns you double the amount of points you would shooting them whilst still conserving your ammo.

And again – never let zombies in to gain bonuses in the early levels – One nuke killing ten or so zombies gets you 400 points whereas knifing/shooting them earns you 1200+ minimum.

Power on as soon as possible, switching on power allows you to buy perks and use teleporters.

Your first perk purchase should be juggernog – really cant tell you how many times this thing will save your life, allows you to get hit 5-6 times before dieing!

Types of BlackOps Zombies:

Regular Zombies – These are well, exactly what they say they are! Your standard zombie that vary in speed and health.

Crawler Zombie – These are the most annoying zombies, they crawl on all fours and can be pretty hard to spot in the heat of things. Plus they explode when killed blowing out a nasty cloud of nova gas in the process.

Shrieker Zombie – Found on ‘Shangri-La’ You’ll hear these before you see them, they’re pretty fast but dont really pose any real threat as they’re easily killed via headshot. If you headshot one of these whilst they’re screaming all of the zombies head’s around them will explode.

Napalm Zombie – These are also found on ‘Shangri-La’ – these take alot more ammo to kill than your average zombie and when you do eventually kill them they explode throwing out napalm on surrounding players and zombies, this can kill you so steer well clear!

Astronaut Zombie – Appearing on ‘Moon’ these, insta kill or nukes do not affect them. If a player gets to close they will grab them, headbutt them causing them to teleport to a random area of the map and also lowering a players health to 1.

Phasing Zombie – These are very similar to Crawler Zombies but dissapear and reapear close to the player, they appear in ‘Moon’ and don’t explode in zero gravity unlike the original crawler zombies.

Space Monkey – Appearing in Ascension space monkeys will steal a players perks by attacking the perk machines, if left to attack a perk machine that you have purchased from you will lose your that perk!

Hellhound – These are encountered on Shi No Numa, Der Riese, Kino der Toten, and Moon. They spawn randomly around the map and they’re arrival is indicated by a flash of lightening. The best way get through a hellhound level is to back into a corner and simply spray at any oncoming hounds.

Monkey Zombie – Found on ‘Shangri-La’ these appear when a power-up is dropped, they run towards the power-up changing it as they run.
