This isnt a demo dude, its a beta. DICE will allow you to test what they need to balance and check for bugs. If all you want is to fly the jets, wait until the game comes out, and next time understand what a beta is before you join one.

This map is SO MUCH BETTER than Operation metro. You'd think they would want to showcase the best of the best but they chose Metro. maybe they had to cancel it last minute to ensure no one on consoles feel left out before launch.
Nevertheless You gotta play this map!

This is a demo. The only purpose you serve is to load test the servers. All the other feedback is either already corrected or being evaluated by internal testing. IF they were really doing a beta, you would have seen some things fixed and a patch sent out.

with PC you just get it with the origianl download
PC beta file size about 4 GB
PS3 (consoles) beta size about 1.1 GB

they just have passwords on the servers with this map

I agree. Once you actually get passed the sniper fest in the beginning of the map its a bit more bearable, but that first part....ugh.

I was hooked on bfbc2 demo
then again it did have more maps

just keep on clicking on 'Join Server', then 'ctrl' + 'V' and you get in eventually. Just finished playing and man, I hope they release this map to the public before the beta is done. Their pre-orders will go up.

I managed to get on a 64 player map. It looks beautiful, until the textures start wigging out. The lag was awful, too. I had to quit because it really wasn't playable, but I've been able to play Metro with Ultra settings.

Is it just me but caspian border feels too big on PC. Its too slow paced to rank up quickly. At the end of the round hardly anybody has a respectable amount of points. You need vehicles to get around. Its hard to spot anybody.

Ive only played a few matches, i may get use to it. It is beautiful though on PC.

I haven't played on caspian border yet, but battlefield was never about ranking up quickly to me. Don't get me wrong, unlockin stuff for the kits is addictive, but I'd rather just enjoy a giant map that feels like all out war. I played the bigger maps in BFBC2 luke harvest day and heavy metal quite a bit. If you really wanna rank up fast you could always try that "other" military shooter game.. ;) "SUPER AWESOME SEARGEANT MAJOR AWESOME PERSON!!" Haha..

Totally agree...it's jaw-dropping beautiful, massive, and in conquest mode (which I like better personally). They should have used Caspian Border for the beta instead...Op Metro feels more like COD. I can't wait for this game to come out.

and you don't think there's reason it was more COD like with just infantry v. infantry? This is all just really a chance for people who play COD to try BF3 for free. They hope to win some hearts and minds. It wouldn't be good to throw those people into a huge map with tanks.

Well I cant even play the beta now, keep getting error codes when trying to join a server from the browser. Hate it how you have to go through shitty Origin, then go through your browser to play the game and see all your stats! Whats wrong with doing it all through the game itself.

Just use the server filter on the pc version and select caspian border to only show up. There's literally like 50 of them.

Oh, and by the way, don't even attempt getting into a server past about 7 or 8pm, before that you might get a chance every ten minutes or so if you're quick.

LOL.. Caspian Border servers are down. News was just posted on BattleLog. So no more Caspian Border guys :-( The Community Manager said thx for testing these past 3 days. Servers are shutting down for the BETA.
