Former Tomb Raider Dev Vouches for Final Combat

The Great Gaming Crusade: "For anyone that hasn’t heard about it yet, the Chinese game Final Combat has been getting some very stiff accusations that it is nothing more than a Team Fortress 2 rip-off. This comes from the fact that it’s a class-based multiplayer game… oh, and the fact it has some similar character models, weapon models, animations, sound effects, graphical style, and I’m sure the list goes on. Said game is also not slated to come out in the West anytime soon."

Every battle royale and soulslike. Every cartoony live service game with dancing

Nah most of the Soulslike games turned out pretty good. Probably the only one I didn't much like was Immortal Unchained.

Let’s Check Out China’s Team Fortress 2 Clone, Final Combat

Kotaku - Whenever I visit an internet cafe in China, be it Shanghai, Beijing or wherever, it always surprises me how many of the games available are MMO's or bad rip-offs of western games. Normally I would scroll past the Chinese fare and move onto something a little more domestic like Call of Duty or Ages of Empires, but Final Combat caught and its colorful banner caught my eye and my attention.

At first glance, Final Combat looks exactly like a cheap Team Fortress 2 rip with two female classes. The characters look like uninspiring copies of Valve's own creations, and the game play looks like every other FPS to date.

7 of the Most Blatant Rip-Offs in Videogame History

Dorkly writes: "Hi everybody! Sophie Prell won’t be joining us today. Instead, allow me to introduce myself in her stead. I am Sofia Bell, video game journalist, humor writer, and just plain good-lookin’ gal on the Internet. My lawyer has advised me to state that, for the record, I have never heard of Sophie Prell, and any similarities between my own writing and hers are purely coincidental. That disclaimer firmly – and totally legally! – out of the way, I thought I’d bring with my introduction a present. Dear Dorkly, I give you seven of the most blatant video game rip-offs of all time!"

lol saints row number 1.....fanboys are going to have fun with this topic

Well it's true, the original Saints Row was for the most part a GTA clone.

I mean yeah it wasn't as serious as GTA4 and had moments that were just pure win the design choices for the most part were rather safe. Being mostly guys in suits or regular clothing.

SR2 is where it started accepting the ridiculousness and The Third outwardly embraces it. I mean look at the differences in style of the gangs you face.

From 2 suits and a bunch of punks, to a voodoo dealing suit a samurai and a tattooed up hulk of a man in a monster truck to a Luchadore, Twin 20th century Pimps, and Hackers that can fight in a Tron like world.

tl;dr
Volition was playing safe and experimenting the integration of silly with each iteration. The first being the safest, a clone of a successful franchise until it became it's own unique blend.

I'd say just about everything created by Gameloft on iOS.
