Pocket Gamer: Somebody, somewhere, will have worked out the number of times the words “match”, “four”, and “puzzler” have appeared together in the description of a game on the App Store. It's probably well into the hundreds.
That's why your first glance at Do Do Egg! is so disheartening. You see brightly coloured shapes arranged in a grid, you see a timer in a corner and a bar along the bottom of the screen, and you think, "great, here we go again".
Pocket Gamer: A decent twist on the connect-four genre, with a pricing scheme that's almost guaranteed to put off all but the most committed devotees.
GameZebo: At first glance Do Do EGG appears to be a typical match-3 puzzle game, but luckily for those of us who’ve played more than their fair share of match-3 games, this isn’t the case. Like any good puzzle game, Do Do EGG takes what’s familiar and just twists it a bit to force us into thinking a little differently, using our tried and true puzzle game prowess in a new way. Unfortunately there’s also a catch to this otherwise enjoyable experience.
