The story sees the player in pursuit of Betty’s hotpot recipe, which in a bid to protect it from a rival pub has been torn apart, and subsequently littered across the street by an unfortunate gust of wind. Playing the game, it’s up to you to find the missing pieces and return them to their rightful owner. This is of course done through a series of Hidden Object puzzles, culminating in a search for a piece of the recipe. It’s not an eloquent design by any means, but then it doesn’t have to be.
Avanquest Software Publishing brings the drama of the street to the PC today, as Coronation Street: The Mystery of The Missing Hotpot Recipe is now available to purchase. The first game based upon the world’s longest running soap opera challenges players to solve the mystery of Betty’s missing hotpot recipe.
Forget Portal 2... Forget Skyrim... forget Battlefield 3... THIS IS THE GAME OF THE YEAR FOR SURE!! ;P lol
Now if anything can show off the power of PCs then this is the game to do it! now all the PC elitists can use this as an example when bashing consoles!!!
Seriously though, what a complete waste of time and money for developers. They should be making better things, not crap that won't sell.
Avanquest Software Publishing has announced that the first videogame based upon the popular television Soap Opera, Coronation Street, is now in development.
Eurogamer writes: "A new game based on Coronation Street is in development for the Nintendo DS.
It's being published by Mindscape, previously responsible for titles such as Noddy and the Magic Clock, Omar Sharif 3D Bridge and Kookabonga Crazy Monkey Party. Not to mention Wild Horses - The Quest for the Golden Horse and Egypt 3.
The new game is said to feature "an adventure and task-based concept set within the theme of the famous fictional street", excitingly. A board game is also planned, titled Destination: Coronation Street."
My god, so in-depth! I almost couldn't handle how deep it was!
