The graphics are good enough for me I like R*s style. You can tell who's making the game just by looking at it. I don't know why everyone worries so much about graphics.

I do get what you are saying but in my opinion R* should have improved the graphics for MP3 since it's not an open world game man.Nevertheless, i am a huge fan of R* and Max Payne games and i'm almost certain that i would be buying this game day one.

i guess but we don't know the scale of the game yet. maybe the game will be huge all of the other games R* released since GT3 have been pretty long maybe they have more time to work on smaller levels instead of the HUGE maps they have had to focus on

Ugh:

1. Didn't like the new hobo-with-a-shotgun appearance--bald isn't max.

2. The color pallet used is to bright and cheery (Indoors and out doors) Its sunny and bright in the office, outside...only scene that REMOTELY felt like Max Payne was him drinking in his room...

3. The action scenes felt somehow too over the top--even for max payne.

4. This may just be me, but I think Rockstar's graphics/animations suck.

5. Giving up the cool/dark comic book narratives and replacing them with in-game cutscenes? Bleh. This trailer easily could have been for GTA 5--felt the same.

6. Brazil? No, not for Max. Max needs to be in a dingy/dying atmosphere. A place that exemplifies lost hope, humanity in darkness, sleeziness--almost beautifully depressing.

7. Max Payne 1&2 were based in a more realistic scope. Simple but effective story. You could believe it unfolded in New york at one time.

8. This trailer has way too much of a hollywood feel to it that has become all too common in games.

9. Both the Xbox and Ps3 have proved they can do better animations/facial expressions/graphics. This game looks and feels like GTA IV (I hated it)

If you can't naturally make a sequel different, then don't. It sounds like when they went to the drawing board they tried to do too much. This trailer has progressed my already abundant concern for this game and the direction of the franchise.

Really now? Do you mean the facial animations in L.A. Noire, or the character animations in RDR and GTA IV? They are some of the best out there, I believe it's just you.

I didn't know the consoles produced the animations, always thought it was the game developers. There are a handful of games that are on par in the body animations department, Uncharteds being one, Assassin's Creed another. No current game has better facial animations than L.A. Noire.

One plays sequels to get "more of the same", yet improved- not to get a completly different experience. It still blows my mind people don't realize this.

If you want something different, you get another, unrelated game. If you want more of what you previously liked, you get a sequel. It's no rocket science. If you CHANGE things out of what many once loved, it's no wonder they'd get upset- and they have all the right in the world to complain.

Also, you can tell MUCH by a five minutes long trailer- an image is worth a thousand words, as they say, and a video's worth even more.

If you spent as much time as you do trying to be confrontational, snide and condescending in your remarks perhaps what you said would come out as intelligent. Helps to read too (Its cool!):

A) I never said the consoles 'produce the animations'. I had meant the consoles have exemplified their ability to render better graphics, better engines and animations--seen in games far better looking than this one.

B) L.A Noir's facial technology is impressive, but NOT used in all rockstar's games. I dislike what I saw in this trailer.

C) I never said i wrote off this game already (English is your first language, no?). I had said this trailer 'has progressed my already abundant concern for this game..." I'm not the only one...

D)I am up for change. But it must be in a manner consistant with an Ip's identity. Bright Brazil, doesn't fit FOR ME. (Make sure you read the first sentence of this post, it'll help you out).

E) I am not the only one who dislikes rockstar animations. To me they come off as odd and unnatural. But you disagree, so I must be wrong.

I never write things off before I try them, aside from the obvious. But I can express my concern for a game's direction. Is that okay with you? Graphically, it's a mess ATM (missing SSAO was apparent) but the flashbacks might give hope to this game storywise. Can't say a damn thing about gameplay yet, though...

This looks like a totally different game tbh. I don't know why R* chose to present the game in a more Hollywood style sort of like a summer blockbuster movie rather than sticking with the original game's style and feel. Judging from the trailer the story seems to be quite generic as well.We have seen similar story lines in countless of B-Grade action flicks.I really hope R* will retain that graphic novel style narration of the first two games. After watching'Tropa De Elite' and 'City of God', i'm actually happy that they chose Brazil as the setting for MP3. I'm hoping that they would show the favelas and the rest of the Brazil in a semi-realistic fashion, similar to what Remedy did with New York.

RAGE (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine) is a game engine created by Rockstar

Rage is a game developed by "id" and is using their own "id tech 5" engine.

Two totally different engines by two totally different developers.

No, Rockstar's RAGE engine will not run at 60fps on console.

The jaggies and bad textures will probably make this unplayable for me like most multiplatform titles this gen, and R* you don't need to confirm to us that it's all %100 in-game since it doesn't look that good anyway and it's pretty obvious.

It looks average or should I say like a 2008 multiplatform game.
