Codemasters closing Bodycount dev

I remember Black (one developer honcho) called Killzone 3's graphics an ass.. Karma's a bitch..

the irony of it is that bodycount had some of the worst control schemes for an fps.

the zoom function on the guns just felt off. why not just have a full iron sight. and then the whole crouch and lean thing but you could not move forward or back.

whoever created those controls, they really killed the game.

He also left the project shortly after those comments. So only him and Codemasters really know if he got a dose of ironic luck called karma.

I always have mixed feelings when I read about studio closures. On one hand, I'm glad there will be fewer developers making lousy games, but on the other I realize that these are people who have to make a living and may even have to support families.

these are trying times for developers

create something original and it's met with caution

create something similar in an overcrowded genre and expect it to be judged hasrshly

someone has to come up with something for these devs to target, maybe have them focus on vita and 3ds titles before full closures

I'm sorry but when we saw first pictures of Bodycount we knew it would be shit. I don't know how they fucked up this.

They just needed to make Black sequel in HD graphics with multiplayer. and I would buy it. We just needed new levels and multyplayer. that's it. sound in Black was better than Bodycount. explosions were great in Black. and gameplay in Black is faster.

It's tough when studios get shut down but remember why this happened. They basically killed themselves with a painfully mediocre game.

It sucks that they're losing their jobs, although most will probably quickly find work elsewhere.

Still, they kinda brought it on themselves for making a horribly generic and mediocre shooter. When I played it, my mind was blown that someone had the audacity to release such a bare game in 2011.
